We would like to temp you with some interesting actions:
q Český Krumlov is an important cultural center, hosting a number of festivals and other events each year. The best known is the Five-Petalled Rose Festival (the name is derived from the Rožmberk crest of a 5 petal red rose), which is celebrated on the weekend of summer solstice in June. The downtown area is cleared of traffic and recreated as a medieval town with craftsmen, artists, musicians, and local people dressed in costumes from the Middle Ages. Various activities such as jousting, fencing, historical dance performances, and folk theatre take place at the castle, local park, and the river bank, among other places. The festival is concluded by a fireworks show above the castle.

In the June the České Budějovice Exhibition Centre organizes very popular and attractive action Beer Fest. For all participants is prepared presentation of breweries, manufacturers of non-alcoholic beverages and other products to go with good beer. The 13th annual is full of music, dance, competitions and cultural performances. The priority of the action is degustation contest “Beer of the Czech Republic”, in the last year achieved, again, an increase in the number its participants. Those more than 200 beers registered for the contest provided a very representative picture of the Czech brewing industry. We believe that you, too, will come and be part of the Festival’s singular feeling.

q The protected village of “Holašovice” was added to UNESCO’s list of world cultural heritage sites in 1998. “Holašovice” has an extraordinarily well-preserved historical village green with a symmetrical, medieval layout and numerous examples of brick-built rural structures dating from the 18th and 19th centuries. It represents a unique example of the so-called South Bohemian folk Baroque style in Europe. “Holašovice” isn’t just a unique example of well-preserved and historically valuable town planning, but a village with a living rural tradition, as we know it from the most famous Czech opera, ‘The Bartered Bride’, for example (the village appeared in the film version of the opera). This traditional backdrop plays host to a two-day folk event called the Rural Celebrations. This is based around a medieval market showcasing traditional and less usual arts and crafts from around the Czech Republic and featuring a programme of cultural events. Demonstrations of original folk arts and crafts are particularly popular. Visitors can choose from a rich array of goods produced by around 250 artists and craftsmen, including lace, woven clothing, leather goods and wicker items, and can admire the skill of wood carvers, knife makers, coin strikers, blacksmiths, potters and many others.
Holašovice is situated 15km west of České Budějovice
q Telc is a town, which in December 1992 got registered in the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage list. It is surrounded on three sides by medieval fish ponds, the pristine town square is precisely separated from the modern part of town. Strolling across the narrow bridges under the imposing gates is like time-travelling to the heart of the Renaissance. Inside, the square does not disappoint with a grand array of façades, covered arcades and walkways and the beautiful Water chateau. Every year there is a czech folk festival called “Holidays in Telč” full of life concerts, theatres and exhibitions with market of Czech craft. This year it will take place form 24th July till 9th August.

Znojmo's own 'Znojemske vinobrani' began back in 1966 and has developed into an all-round show, attracting tens of thousands of visitors. Slurp some burcak, as you do the rounds of the historic streets, refilling at various burcak booths. Visitors can also expect to be entertained by costumed jugglers, sword fighters and dancers. The weekend presents a full programme, beginning with an evening costume procession. Other events and attractions include a knights' tournament, an historical market, medieval music, dances, theatre performances and plenty of opportunities to try the celebrated burcak.
